We will now discuss Question #10 of 200 blog review questions to help you improve your blog and review blogs. The Ultimate Blog Review Guide e-book covers all 200 questions in detail.
Blog Review Question #10: How old is the blog's domain? (check at Whois.Net)
This page will change as I add your input. To start, here's my take:
The age of the blog's domain isn't going to make or break it, but it's nevertheless something to consider. If the domain is really old, it's important to check search engines to make sure there isn't unrelated content from a previous incarnation of the domain still appearing in the indexes. If the domain is brand new, great - no worries. Although it's nice to have an old domain with good previous search engine presence, I think this factor is becoming less important.
Well, let me back up. What DOES matter is how long the domain has been existing in its current iteration - say, your blog as opposed to the other site that used to occupy that particular domain - and how long there has been valuable content getting churned out there.
