We will now discuss Question #17 of 200 blog review questions to help you improve your blog and review blogs. The Ultimate Blog Review Guide e-book covers all 200 questions in detail.
Blog Review Question #17: How many comments not by the blog author are published per week?
Here's my quick take - please leave comments to help me flesh this out.
Perhaps I should revise this question to empasize a ratio that may matter even more than the raw number of comments published by visitors to the blog each week: the number of such comments divided by the number of comments published by the blog's author.
For now, I'd say that this question is not crucial by itself, but it does certainly help to determine the nautre of the blog's community.
The quality of blog comments is also important, of course, and we'll cover it later in this series.
I'd hope to see on a typical blog that at least one or two comments per week are published by visitors, and actually I would hope for a much bigger number, like dozens or hundreds.
