We will now discuss Question #30 of 200 blog review questions to help you improve your blog and review blogs. The Ultimate Blog Review Guide e-book covers all 200 questions in detail.
Blog Review Question #30: How similar does the blog look at resolutions between 800 x 600 and 1920 x 1200 pixels?
Very few people use screen resolutions outside of those boundaries. Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure that the most common resolution is 1024 x 768, followed by 1280 x 1024. But I'll need to grab some data to back that up.
At any rate, you should find out what your target audience is most likely to use as far as screen resolution is concerned, and optimize your blog design to appear its best at that resolution. While you're at it, make sure other resolutions don't kill the look of the blog.
Later I'll add some juicy details about fixed-width and variable-width layouts.
