We will now discuss Question #3 of 200 blog review questions to help you improve your blog and review blogs. The Ultimate Blog Review Guide e-book covers all 200 questions in detail.

Blog Review Question #3: How many feed subscribers does the blog have?

Why Feed Subscribers Matter

Feed subscribers (RSS subscribers, Atom subscribers, etc.) matter because they have decided to access your content on a continual basis.

They are more likely to return to your blog again and again over a long period of time than non-subscribers.

They are more likely to post comments.

They are more likely to link to your blog.

They are more likely to purchase any products or services you may offer through your blog.

In short: the more feed subscribers, the better.

How to Get More Feed Subscribers

You get more feed subscribers the same way you get more blog visitors – by publishing appealing content in an appealing format.

There are a few tricks of the trade that apply specifically to feed subscriptions, however.

If you want more feed subscribers, you must ask for them! That's the number one tip I could give you. Asking means telling the whole world over and over that you've got a feed and you'd love it if they would subscribe. Remind them that it's free. Remind them that it's easy. Offer benefits if possible, such as a free e-book or free tips in return for subscribing.
