Here’s when I think you should say sorry in a blog post on a corporate blog:
1. You’ve done something wrong in your business and your blog is the most effective way to communicate with the people you’ve disappointed or hurt.
2. You’ve posted something false or misleading on your company blog.
3. You’ve neglected or offended your blog visitors.
4. You’ve broken a promise or failed to try hard, whether in your corporate blogging efforts or elsewhere.
Hmm … when else? That’s all I can think of. There are quite a few reasons not to apologize for certain things via your company blog, too.
