5 Reasons Why Your Business Blog Should Help the Poor

October 15th, 2008 by Easton

1. Because you should help the poor in all you do.

2. Because customers like to know that you care about people in need.

3. Because you work better when you feel better, and you feel better when you serve others.

4. Because you can learn many blogging lessons from the poor.

5. Because it’s the right thing to do.

Yes I agree with you. But, I have helped the poor on a number of occasions only to see the money was spent on things that were not necessary. I am a firm believer in helping those who help themselves. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope you wife is doing better. Isn’t she due?

As long as our desire is to give unless there’s a compelling reason not to, I think we’re in the right place Gabriella.

The baby was born a few days ago and my wife and the baby are doing great! :)

I think this type of model should somehow be built into your business model. In my opinion, the web presents an opportunity to provide quality services for free to many people. For example, I run a web development company, but we also list free XHTML templates for all to use on our site. It’s great to see up coming designers from ALL parts of the globe using our templates. From an event page in sub-Saharan Africa to a small business owner in the US trying to get their start. Donating money is one thing, but actually trying to do what you do best to somehow help is where it’s at. Great post, and I couldn’t agree more!
