SOAP Business Blogging Tips Request 1: Yvonne Russell

May 3rd, 2007 by Easton

SOAP Blogging Tips Program LogoOn May 1, I announced the (new and improved) Scratch One Another Program for business bloggers to give and receive free blogging tips.  This will be a post series where bloggers converge to share advice, learn blogging skills, help others succeed, make friends and (of course) smell better.

SOAP is simple.  If you have a "business blog" that you would like to improve (more traffic, better search engine rankings, stronger community, etc.), you may:

1. Give blog tips for others at this blog (or link back to it).  Just watch for new SOAP requests at this blog and SOAP a SOAPee whenever you can.
2. Request blogging help for your own blog by filling out the SOAP request form.  Your request will be published right here and (hopefully) attract hordes of helpful SOAP-wielding pro bloggers.  You won't know what hit ya, but you'll emrge back-scratched and squeaky-clean.  That is, you'll get free help for your business blog from others who care about business blogging.

Yvonne Russell has volunteered to be our first SOAPee, with the interesting distinction of not needing to SOAP anyone else before being SOAPed!

Yvonne Russell blogs at Grow Your Writing Business – For Freelance Writers Who Mean Business.  Yvonne's looking for the following kinds of tips for her blog:

Blog Traffic: "I am developing a small growing community of regular visitors, who really motivate me, but I would also like a much broader audience. Any tips welcome."

Blog Design: "I would like a less busy looking blog, but need some advertising. Any tips welcome."

Blog Search Engine Optimization (SEO): "Use one of my actual posts to point out things I could have done better.  Show me how to write the post (and the heading) more effectively for SEO (without making it sound artificial)."

Other Blogging Tips: "How to encourage and develop a conversation with commenters interacting with and referencing other comments."

Please leave your tips for Yvonne in the comments below or post your SOAPing at your own blog and link back here so we can all learn from and respond to your thoughts.  Let's give Yvonne and her blog a good SOAPing!

Once you've SOAPed Yvonne and would like to become a SOAPee yourself, simply fill out the SOAP request form.  Thanks in advance for your participation!
